Abstract

Purpose: This study is to investigate vital statistical traits of clients experienced suicide ideation by korea life line telephone counseling center. Method: A literature review and content analysis were conducted. Data was analysed 631 cases of telephone suicide-crisis counseling during 2001-2002 and 444 cases of cyber crisis counselling in 2001 in korea Lifeline. The analysis method of data is used frequency analysis by SPSS/WIN 10.0. Result: The results of this study were as follows: First, Male clients were much more than female and teen-age and twenties appeared by 86.8% of whole clients. Also students were much more than other jobs. Second, ¢¥Family conflict, family violence, and interpersonal problem¢¥ appeared extremely much by 52.0% of life stress. Conclusion: The development of suicide prevention center as for social support system about suicide behavior and sucide ideation was suggested. And the porgram content have to include the coping method and education program about life stress by ¢¥family conflict, family violence, and interpersonal problem¢¥
